Scores and clocks
Tap the top half of a score to add a point and the bottom half to subtract one. Hold a score to correct the total. Tap a clock to pause/resume it independently; hold to edit it. Set clock applies the change. Done closes the keyboard only. The main button pauses running clocks and resumes the remembered selection.
Why is the shot clock at zero or hidden?
Off in Clocks & alerts hides shot controls. Near the end of a period, a reset longer than the remaining game time makes the shot clock inactive at zero. Use a shorter reset if enough time remains. Reset buttons are 24/14 in 24-second mode and 30/20 in 30-second mode.
Sound or background alerts
Check device volume, Silent Mode, Focus and notification settings. Use sound previews in Clocks & alerts. Background notifications require your permission. Device settings and interruptions can affect alerts; keep an appropriate backup when timing an organised game.
Saved games
The latest completed local save restores after reopening, with clocks paused. App switching within the same running process counts elapsed time. Saved summaries can be shared or deleted from Saved games. Deleting a summary does not delete the current game or shared copies. Reset game replaces the current game after review and can save a summary first.
Do not delete and reinstall Courtempo as a first troubleshooting step: deleting the app removes local data. Apple backups are managed through your Apple settings. We cannot retrieve games stored only on your device. If a save warning appears, use Retry and contact support if it continues.
Timeouts
Choose a duration and tap Start timeout. Swipe down to minimise the countdown and make corrections. Tap or swipe up to reopen it. Cancelling or finishing a timeout leaves play paused until you resume it.
Privacy and use
Courtempo's game data is stored locally, with normal Apple backups allowed. It includes no accounts, advertising or third-party analytics. Read the privacy policy through the app's Privacy & Data screen or our privacy page.
